At Sonar we want you to know, with no fine print, what data this site collects, what we use it for and what you can do about it. This site has no forms, does not sell data and does not run personalized advertising.
1. Who is responsible
The data controller is Convoy S.R.L., which operates the Sonar brand. Argentine tax ID (CUIT) 30-71196837-3. Address: La Pampa 3202, Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
For any question about your data: privacidad@sonar.la.
2. What data we collect
Browsing data, only if you accept it. If you accept cookies in the notice, we use Google Analytics 4 to learn which pages are visited, for how long, from what type of device and browser, from what country or approximate city, and from which site you arrived. It does not let us know who you are. According to Google, Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. If you decline, it is not turned on.
Data you give us when you write to us. If you contact us by WhatsApp or email, we receive whatever you send us: your name, your phone number or email address, your company and the content of your message.
Technical server logs. Like any website, the server that hosts it records technical data about each visit (IP address, date and time, requested page and browser) for security and operational reasons.
3. What we use it for
- To understand how the site is used and improve it (Google Analytics, with your consent).
- To answer your enquiries and, where appropriate, prepare a proposal.
- To keep the site secure and detect abuse (server logs).
If you visit the site from the European Union, the legal basis is your consent for audience measurement; steps prior to entering into a contract, or our legitimate interest, for answering your messages; and our legitimate interest for the security of the site.
4. Cookies
We only use measurement cookies, and only if you accept them:
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguish visitors anonymously | 2 years |
| _ga_PB6M2LSN92 | Google Analytics | Keep the session state | 2 years |
Your choice (accept or decline) is stored in your own browser for 12 months, so we don't ask you again. That record is not sent to anyone.
You can change your choice at any time from the Cookies link at the bottom of every page, or by deleting the cookies in your browser.
5. Who we share data with
- Google, which provides Google Analytics and our email. Its servers may be outside your country, including in the United States.
- Hosting-AR, the company that hosts the site in Argentina.
- WhatsApp (Meta), if you choose to write to us there. In that case WhatsApp’s privacy policy also applies.
We do not sell or transfer your data to anyone else, unless a law requires us to.
6. How long we keep it
- Google Analytics data: 14 months.
- Messages and emails: for as long as the conversation or business relationship lasts, and afterwards for as long as applicable laws require.
- Server logs: the period the hosting provider keeps them for security.
7. Your rights
You can ask us at any time to access your data, correct it, delete it, object to its use, restrict it or receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw your consent. Write to us at privacidad@sonar.la and we will reply within the legal deadlines.
The data subject has the right to access their personal data free of charge at intervals of no less than six months, unless a legitimate interest to that effect is shown, as provided in article 14, paragraph 3 of Argentine Law No. 25,326. The Agency for Access to Public Information (Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública), the supervisory authority under Law No. 25,326, is empowered to handle the complaints and claims filed by anyone whose rights are affected by non-compliance with the rules in force on personal data protection.
If you visit the site from the European Union, you can also file a complaint with the data protection authority of your country (in Spain, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos).
8. Minors
This site is aimed at companies and professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
9. Changes
If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page with its update date.
